For most people, “steez” means style with ease. Pioneer has created a new definition of the word by releasing Steez, a portable audio system made specifically for dancers. World of Dance got an exclusive look at the line of boomboxes before they were released to the consumer public in San Diego. Using advanced Pioneer technology, the Steez has 8 count track rewind and forwarding functionality. It can change the tempo of the track without modifying the pitch and comes equipped with battle modes for street sessions. Attendees including So You Think Can Dance winner Russell Ferguson, checked out the audio system at the Pioneer booth, main stage, and X-Treme Arena stage.
Pioneer Steez “Crew” edition was used at the exciting X-Treme Steez Arena. The no rules, all styles battles drew an enthusiastic crowd that decided each winner with their cheers. The 1 on 1 battles featured dancers from all over the country including New York and Memphis. Each dancer showed off their unique style whether it was their smooth footwork or sharp moves. Styles included popping, bone breaking, turfing, tutting, krumping and Memphis jookin’.
