At only 16, Olivia “Chachi” Gonzales is a making waves in the dance world. As a member of “America’s Best Dance Crew” Season 6 winning I.aM.mE dance crew, Chachi danced her way in to hearts across America and continues to delight all with her super fresh choreography. Hailing from Houston, Texas, the youngest of five siblings immediately gravitated toward dance at an early age—first with ballet then later picking up hip-hop when she was nine.
With lots of hard work and support from her family and friends, Chachi evolved into the superstar dancer she’s become today, but she hasn’t let it all get to head. The extremely humbled dancer has been able to maintain a level head despite the newfound fame, and not only works hard on her talents, but also makes sure she’s the best person both inside and out!
She had an amazing 2011, when she took the hip-hop dance world by storm and considers winning ABDC as the biggest moment thus far in her career. She was also one of the backup dancers for the Tribute to Britney Spears as part of the “2011 MTV Video Music Awards,” and she was most recently named “Teen Choreographer of the Year” at the World of Dance 2012 Industry Awards. While still very young, Chachi is destined to be remembered as one of the industry’s most talented dancers, as she continues to grow and push her talent to new levels.
Chachi is no stranger to the World of Dance tour and she’ll be showing off her best moves at the first stop of the World of Dance Tour in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the L.A. Convention Center. Don’t miss out on Chachi’s performance and grab your tickets now. Here’s more info on the show!
