Lenovo invited iLuminate and the troupe’s founder, dancer and software engineer Miral Kotb, down to its corporate campus to perform their unique, LED-costumed dance routines for employees. iLuminate and Kotb push the boundaries of the increasingly converging world of art and technology. With laptop-programmed body suits, iLuminate is a great example of how technology is “For Those Who Do.”
Lenovo had the chance to speak with Kotb about her creative process and how she, like Lenovo, finds inspiration in technology. Read about it here! Kotb wrote her first piece of software at age 9 but has also held a life-long passion for dance. She founded iLuminate to create “a world of illusions through the fusion of art and technology.” The group has since competed on “America’s Got Talent,” and the iLuminate technology has been tapped by global music stars Chris Brown and the Black Eyed Peas for their performances.
