One of our favorite games has undergone the Hollywood treatment and become a full-fledged movie as Battleship (starring the smoking hot and very talented Rihanna) takes to the big screen in movie theaters nationwide. Watch as these dancers from New York show their support for Dancers’ Alliance. Seven months ago, Dancers’ Alliance and AFTRA started the “It’s About Time” campaign. They went to the record labels in an attempt to negotiate a union contract for all performers in music videos. Seven months later, they’re at the point where the last proposal the labels made to them was WORSE than what dancers currently have.

Now, SAG-AFTRA is about to implement a “No Contract No Work” action* for music videos.

Many of us our still mourning the passing of Adam Yauch, aka MCA, from the Beastie Boys and this Urban Noize Remix provides some cheering up! Everybody’s been talking about when Kanye West’s highly anticipated Air Yeezy 2 sneaker will drop since he was spotted sporting them in the Kobe Bryant/Robert Rodriguez online short, “The Black Mamba.” Official pics hit the web back in March but with no release date. Rumors buzzed that they’d drop in April, but now Australian-based sneaker boutique/blog Laced.com say’s they’ve got the inside scoop on the release date, confirming a a global release of June 9th. The sneaker is supposed to come in two different colorways, including the Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum and Black/Solar Red. The site also mentions that they’ll be available in very limited amounts (duh!), with exact numbers unknown. They’re rumored to feature a price tag of about $350. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if the rumors are true come June 9th or until Nike provides some official info on the subject matter!
